“Food & Nutrition: From Fork to Farm” – Coming Soon!!

Because of the popularity of the courses currently, offered we are expanding the program to include a course on “Food and Nutrition: From Fork to Farm.”  This new curriculum is built on the USDA’s ‘My Plate’ diagram. Students will learn about daily nutrition requirements while building a fresh, healthy taco. They will then travel back to the farm where each ingredient used to make the healthy taco is grown. On their trip students will learn about the processing methods used for each of the ingredients and meet the farmers that grow their food.  It is all wrapped up in one fun investigative journey that teaches students where their food comes from.
